It is such an honor to be able to serve Midway High School, the Midway Community and the Roane County School District. I am extremely proud of the successes our students and staff members have made over the past year as we strive to prepare our students for college and career readiness. Being college and career "ready" encompasses many items such as attendance, dual enrollment, dual credit, ACT improvement, and academic achievement. This doesn't happen by chance, but through the hard work of our teachers, our students, and the efforts of our parents and community. I think It would be a challenge to find a harder working group of students, teachers, support staff, and community members than we have in the Midway community. Each year, we strive to make sure we are providing an appropriate and challenging curriculum for all of our students and one that reflects the ever-changing needs of today's society. Each year, we are extremely proud of the achievement results as reflected by our TnReady scores and continue to improve our overall TVAAS growth score. Our successes in achievement have been recognized for the past three years by U.S. News and World Report! On behalf of the faculty and staff at Midway High School, we look forward to a successful and productive school year in 2017/2018! Thank you so much for your support and entrusting your child's future with us every day. Please feel free to stop by or call if you have any issues or concerns.
FCCLA members from MHS have been using the early morning hours to paint pumpkins for a community service project. The pumpkins were delivered to residents of Brookdale Assisted Living in Kingston on Saturday morning!
