Our TAP students visited Nature’s Way Montessori School in Knoxville 5/1/23. They learned about Maria Montessori, her philosophy of education, and the unique materials used to engage students using her methods.

This morning students from HHS and HMS met on the football field and had a prayer circle for Preston "P-Man" Wells. There will also be another prayer circle tonight at Children's Hospital in Knoxville @ 8 pm for anyone who would like to join. Please keep this family in your thoughts & prayers as P-Man continues his fight against cancer. #NoOneFightsAlone

Students... there will be a prayer circle for P-Man tomorrow morning (May 2) on the HHS Football Field at 7:50am.

At this month's school board meeting, our FCCLA students who competed at the State Conference and qualified to compete at the National Conference this summer were recognized for their accomplishments. Morgan Boling, Riley Hickling, Abby Stout, and Kayla Sandoz were awarded with certificates of recognition from our Roane County School Board members to congratulate them for their achievements. These students will travel to Denver, CO, in July to compete in FCCLA Nationals, where they will be representing Harriman High School, Roane County, and the state of Tennessee. We are so proud of them!

Congratulations to Dean Torres, Drake Vilendrer, Levi Smith, and Jacob Lemons for being selected as our 2023 Tennessee Boys State Delegates.
Tennessee American Legion Boys State is among the most respected and selective educational programs of government instruction for high school students. This year, Boys State is an interactive program where each delegate participates in local, county, and state government education and activities. We know that these young men will do a fine job of representing HHS and Roane County.
